The Kenton Women’s Club is sponsoring a Scarecrow Contest for downtown Kenton.
Participants are asked to make a scarecrow that represents the season.
Individuals, as well as businesses, are invited to participate.
The scarecrow entries may be dropped off at the office of Kenton Grain from Oct. 1-14.
All entries will be displayed in downtown Kenton and scarecrows will be judged in three categories: most original, scariest and best theme.
Out-of-town judges will make their selections Oct. 15 and certificates will be awarded to the winners.
For more information, contact Linda Holder at 749-5929.
