Scarecrow contest set Posted: Thursday, September 22, 2011 5:00 pm The Messenger, September 22, 2011 The Kenton Women’s Club is sponsoring a Scarecrow Contest for downtown Kenton. Participants are asked to make a scarecrow that represents the season. Individuals, as well as businesses, are invited to participate. The scarecrow entries may be dropped off at the office of Kenton Grain from Oct. 1-14. All entries will be displayed in downtown Kenton and scarecrows will be judged in three categories: most original, scariest and best theme. Out-of-town judges will make their selections Oct. 15 and certificates will be awarded to the winners. For more information, contact Linda Holder at 749-5929. |
