Miss Lane, French to wed Saturday

The engagement and forthcoming marriage of Alyssa Nicole Lane and Artie Joe “AJ” French Jr., both of Union City, are being announced today.
The bride-elect is the daughter of Tony and Melissa Lane of Union City. Her grandparents are Barbara Gallimore and the late Hulon Gallimore of Union City and Johnny and Teresa Lane of Woodland Mills.
She is a 2006 graduate of Obion County Central High School. She plans to attend Arnold’s Beauty School in Milan.
She is employed at First Friends Preschool in Union City.
The groom-elect is the son of Artie and Penny French of Dyersburg. His grandparents are Wilson Hall and the late R.T. and Earcie French, all of Dyersburg, and Nona Irving of Newbern.
He is a 2007 graduate of Dyer County High School in Newbern. He is attending the University of Tennessee at Martin, where is a sophomore history major, minoring in military science.
He is currently serving in the United States Army National Guard as a contracted cadet with the ROTC.
He is employed at Walmart Tire Lube Express.
The couple will wed 5 p.m. Saturday at First Assembly of God, located at 1810 Pleasant Valley Ave., in Union City.
A reception will be held immediately following the ceremony in the fellowship hall of the church.
All family and friends are invited to attend.
