For the second consecutive year, Baptist Memorial Hospital-Union City has been named one of Modern Healthcare magazine’s Best Places to Work in Healthcare for 2011 and will be honored at an awards ceremony on Oct. 18 in Chicago.
Modern Healthcare will recognize the Best Places to Work in Healthcare in a special supplement to be published Oct. 24.
Modern Healthcare collected information from both the hospital and its colleagues.
A survey was completed detailing company policies, practices, benefits and demographics. Colleagues were asked in-depth questions that resulted in an analysis in 8 core areas: leadership and planning, culture and communications, role satisfaction, working environment, relationship with supervisor, training and development, pay and benefits and overall satisfaction.
According to Brad Parsons, administrator and chief executive officer at BMH-UC, “This is a great accomplishment for our hospital, especially since it is based on information provided by our employees. They make our hospital a great place to work.”
