Miss Carter to wed Coble on Oct. 15

The engagement and forthcoming marriage of Candie Lee Carter of Union City and John Kelly “J.J.” Coble Jr. of Kenton are being announced today. The bride-elect is the daughter of Charles and Linda Carter of Walnut Log and Richard and Jennifer Sullivan of Obion. She is the granddaughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. Charles Carter of the Walnut Log community, the late Mr. and Mrs. Richard Aquino of Hickman, Ky., and the late Billy Joe Stafford of Union City. She is a 2008 graduate of Obion County Central High School. She is employed at Sara Lee in Newbern. The groom-elect is the son of Kelly and Kim Coble of Kenton. His grandparents are the late John and Ruth Coble and Jimmy and Marcella Burress, all of Kenton. He is a 2009 graduate of Gibson County High School in Dyer. He is also employed by Sara Lee. The couple will exchange wedding vows at 4:30 p.m. Oct. 15 at Walnut Log Baptist Church. Music will begin at 4. A reception will be held following the ceremony at the church.
