Completed arrangements are being announced for Gene Intindola, 91, of South Fulton, who died at Park Terrace Village in South Fulton Aug. 4, 2011.
Services will be 2 p.m. Saturday at St. Edward’s Catholic Church in Fulton. Interment will follow there in Greenlea Cemetery. Visitation will be 6-8 p.m. today at Hornbeak Funeral Chapel in Fulton. The body will lie in state at the church from 1 p.m. until the funeral hour Saturday.
The family requests that memorials be made to St. Edward’s Catholic Church, 504 Eddings St., Fulton, KY 42041.
He was a member of St. Edward’s Catholic Church and was a local business man. He had attended Brialey Military Academy and the University of Maryland and played professional baseball for the Philadelphia Phillies organization and then moved to Fulton, where he concluded his baseball career with the Kitty League. He was a member of Knights of Columbus and a long-time member of Fulton Country Club.
He is survived by many nieces, nephews, great nieces, great nephews and great-great-nieces and great-great-nephews.
He was preceded in death by his wife Adelle (Homra) Intindola; his parents, Neil and Antionette Intindola; four brothers, Pat Intindola, Jerry Intindola, Mike Intindola and Nick Intindola; and two sisters, Rose Intindola and Tessie Intindola.
