MEMPHIS (AP) — The Memphis-based Stuttering Foundation says some youngsters may stutter more during the summer.
Jane Fraser, president of the foundation, said stuttering may increase because children’s structure and routine are different, causing stress.
According to a news release Wednesday from the group, families with children who stutter must learn how to change their summer plans to promote more fluent speech.
The Stuttering Foundation also suggests that summer time may be a perfect time to begin therapy for stuttering.
