Nite Lite Children’s theatre will be presenting “Town Mouse, Country Mouse” June 17 and 18 at Milan Middle School.
Students from grades kindergarten through sixth grade will prepare for the production while participating in a workshop setting June 13-17. The workshop will consist of sessions in staging, music and choreography, costumes and makeup design.
This endearing story of how the two mice visit each other and ultimately decide that home is best is written by British playwright Lynn Brittney. Throughout the journey the mice take, they will meet squirrels, rabbits, spiders, a hedgehog, a dog, cats and rats. Students in the production will take on the roles of the various animals.
Nursery rhymes will be a part of the music directed by Deborah Doss. Other clinicians will be Linda Vaughn, Emily Brown, Molly Locke and Becky Reeves.
Show times will be June 17 at 7 p.m. and June 18 at 10 a.m. Both shows will be at Milan Middle School.
Tickets can be purchased at the door for $5 or can be reserved by calling (731) 855-2129.
