British Soccer Camp
scheduled in Martin

Registration is open now for the Martin Soccer League’s British Soccer Camp set for June 20-24 at the Martin Recreational Complex.
The British Soccer Camps provide players of all ages and abilities with the opportunity to receive coaching from a team of international players.
Held every summer in Martin for many years, the British Soccer Camp is unique because guest coaches from Europe are hosted by Martin families and take the week to provide fun and instruction.
The camp will run Monday through Friday and each child will be coached by a member of Challenger’s team of 1,000 British soccer coaches flown to the USA exclusively to work on these programs.
Martin Soccer Association is offering “British Soccer Camp” sessions to children ages 3-18. The cost to particpate differs for each age group and camp.

Class A baseball title
is again Riverside’s

The Greenfield baseball team can say it took the state champion to the limit.
Riverside, which de-feated G’field 1-0 in a Class A sectional game on May 20,  defeated Friendship Christian 6-1 on Friday morning to claim its second Class A state title in as many seasons.
All totaled, the Pan-thers outscored their opposition 50-9 in five games at the BlueCross Spring Fling’s Class A State Tournament.
The title game was the closest contest that R’side had at the state tourney.
