Dean Ladell Norman of 2398 Lee Brown Road, northeast of Obion, was scheduled to be arraigned at 1 p.m. today on three counts of aggravated assault and one count of aggravated domestic assault, according to Chief Deputy Kent Treece of the Obion County Sheriff’s Department.
Deputies were dispatched to Norman’s residence shortly after noon Saturday. Norman was reportedly in the bedroom of his residence with his wife, Deborah Norman, and her brothers and grandchildren were elsewhere in the residence, according to Treece. Norman was reportedly “tearing up the house” and had threatened to kill everyone in the house and himself, according to Treece.
Norman reportedly came out of the bedroom with a deer rifle and shot a hole in the floor.
Upon arrival, deputies arrested Norman without incident and he was transported to the Obion County Law Enforcement Complex, where he remained jailed today. There were no injuries reported in connection with the incident.
