A Troy man was injured in an alleged assault outside a Union City bar early Saturday.
Corey Wayne Northam, 33, sustained injuries in an incident that allegedly occurred between 12:15 and 12:30 a.m. Saturday, according to a Union City Police Department report. Police responded to the emergency room of Baptist Memorial Hospital-Union City, where Northam told them he was “jumped” earlier near Bottoms Up Bar at 112 South First St. He told police he was assaulted by four or five black men who were coming out of the bar as he was going into the bar.
According to the report, Northam left the area and later went to the emergency room for medical treatment.
Northam told police he did not know any of the suspects in the incident.
