Lt. Terry Rudolph of the Fulton Fire Department and Twin City Ambulance Service was recently promoted to shift captain.
Rudolph was one of three candidates from within the fire department that applied for the position.
After an interview with an oral review board comprised of the officers of the department and careful consideration, Fulton Fire Chief Pete Lamb recommended to the Fulton City Commission that Rudolph be promoted to the rank of captain.
The move was necessitated by the promotion of Capt. Mike Gunn to assistant chief and training officer in April.
Rudolph joined the Water Valley, Ky., Volunteer Fire Department in 1995.
He joined the Fulton Fire Department and Twin City Ambulance Service in 1996 as a volunteer firefighter.
In 1999, he became a full-time firefighter and emergency medical technician.
According to Lamb, Rudolph’s mechanical skills and knowledge have been an asset to the Fulton Fire Department.
Rudolph and his wife, Jennie, have been married 31 years.
The couple has four children.
