Miss Mooney, Miller to wed in Las Vegas

The engagement and forthcoming marriage of Elizabeth Donnell Mooney and Michael Paul Miller, both of Union City, are being announced today.
The bride-elect is the daughter of Byron “Monty” and Robin Mooney of Union City and the late Jackie Donnell Stanley of Germantown. She is the granddaughter of the late Virginia and George Dial of Ridgely and Bernice and Joel Shore of Union City.
She is a 2002 graduate of Union City High School. She received her bachelor of science degree in communications from the University of Tennessee at Knoxville and her master of science degree in education from the University of Tennessee at Martin.
She was initiated into Alpha Kappa chapter of Alpha Delta Pi in 2002 at UT Knoxville and she is now the membership education advisor for the Delta Upsilon Chapter of Alpha Delta Pi at UT Martin.
She teaches at Union City Middle School and coaches the Union City High School tennis teams.
The groom-elect is the son of Billy Ralph and Shelby Miller of Union City.
He is a 1996 graduate of Obion County Central High School. He received his bachelor’s degree and master of science degree in education from UT Martin.
He is principal of Union City Elementary School and he will begin next year as the principal of Union City Middle School.
The couple will exchange vows at 7 p.m. West Coast time June 25 at the Little Church of the West in Las Vegas.
A reception will be held at 7 p.m. July 9 at the Hampton Centré. All friends and family are invited to attend the reception.
