Arts center planned Posted: Thursday, May 26, 2011 11:47 am The Messenger, May 26, 2011 Westover Center for the Arts is inviting all artists to come together in a guild under the Westover name. “We want them to have a center where they can meet, work and market their art,” a spokesman said. “The first group of artists to come get to help set up the guidelines for the organization.” The first two rooms on the front of Westover are ready for paint and they already look beautiful and spacious for us to hold this years’ Westover Arts Market on Nov. 4-6. We need the artists to be ready for this show.” Artists’ contacts for the guild and the show are LaVaughn Cummings at 885-1224 and cummings4353@yahoo.com or Linda St. Clair at 885-3069 and lastclair@hotmail.com. “If anyone wishes to help Westover at this time, we would welcome help with the paint. Kiltz is $71.35 for five gallons and the colors run about $30 per gallon,” the spokesman added. “To buy a bucket of paint, send funds to Westover Center for the Arts, P.O. Box 623, Union City, TN 38281 and we will be ever so grateful.” |
