Time change told
for OC golf meeting

Student-athletes interested in playing golf in the 2011 fall season at Obion County Central will meet Monday at 1 p.m. at the Goodyear Wingfoot Golf Course.
The meeting was originally scheduled for 11 a.m. that day, but a conflict foced the time change, according to Rebel head coach Donnie Walton.
Anyone needing additional information or clarification can contact Walton at 446-5115 or the Goodyear Wingfoot Pro Shop at 885-9922.

Baseball signee has
Obion Co. family

A Harpeth High School athlete with connections to Obion County has signed to continue his baseball career at the college level.
Kelby Isbell — the grandson of Virginia Pugh of Troy — signed a National Letter of Intent to play at Bryan College in Dayton recently.
Isbell received an athletic scholarship along with one of the academic nature to attend BC.
He plans to major in business administration.
He is the son of Bob and Melissa Isbell of Kingston Springs.

UTM to host picnic    before OVC tourney

The University of Tennessee at Martin will host a picnic for alumni and Skyhawk fans before the Skyhawks’ opening game Wednesday in the 2011 Ohio Valley Conference Baseball Tournament at Pringles Park in Jackson.
The picnic will start at 5 p.m. and last until game time in the Tennessee National Guard Picnic Pavilion on the third base side of the stadium.
