up by three strokes

The team of Linda Moore, Annell Goodwin, Jackie Russell and Janis Garrigan combined to finish at 2-under-par and win the Hickman Country Club’s Ladies League outing on Thursday.
The combination of JoLynne Gibson, Betty Moore and Evelyn Whitten earned second at 1-over par.
Goodwin was the closest to the pin.
The ladies play every Thursday evening at 5:30. Those interested in playing are encouraged to call (270) 236-9128.
 
OVC baseball tickets
on sale in Jackson

The Ohio Valley Conference Baseball Tournament will be held this week at Pringles Park in Jackson.
UT Martin will play in the second game on Wednesday against Jacksonville State at 7 p.m.
It marks the second straight year the event has been held at Pringles Park, which is the home of the Jackson Generals, the AA affiliate of the Seattle Mariners.
The double-elimination tournament includes the top six teams from the OVC.
The six-team, double-elimination tournament marks the 33rd OVC Baseball Championship.
All tickets for the event are general admission and are $10 per day or $30 for an all-session ticket.
OVC students and faculty with valid ID’s can purchase tickets for $8 per day or $25 for an all-session ticket.
Parking for the OVC Baseball Championship is free.
Tickets are available in-person at the Pringles Park box office or by calling (731) 988-5299.
Group rates ($8 single session, $25 all-session) are also available by contacting the ticket office.
