Team captains from 29 teams gathered recently to continue making plans for the annual Obion County Hometown Walk of Hope event being staged June 4 at War Memorial Stadium on the campus of Union City High School. Co-chairmen for the event are Lorraine Gossett (front, left) and Brenda Perry (front, right). This year’s teams include Reelfoot Baptist Church, Union City Second Baptist Church, First Citizens National Bank, Reelfoot Bank (two teams), Cancer Survivors, E.W. James, Mount Ararat Cumberland Presbyterian Church, Walmart, Union City Coca-Cola, Team Alexander, Women of Steel, Union City J’Cettes, Union City First United Methodist Church (two teams), Team Friends, Pleasant Hill Baptist Church, Ladies Choice of Calvary Baptist Church, First State Bank, Baptist Memorial Hospital-Union City, Crosswind Church/Tennessee Quality Hospice, Kizer Pharmacy, Team Carter, Walgreens, Star Physical Therapy, Lennox, Salon Arabella, Team Taylor and Union City First Baptist Church.
