Do you enjoy participating or do you want to learn line dancing? How about watching or participating in karaoke? Want to learn about Zumba exercising? How about listening to a live country/western band? Well, I received news this week that we have a new business coming into town! The name of the business is Legends owned and operated by Larry and Tammy Morgan, and is in the old grocery store at 153 East Main Street in Sharon. The grand opening is on Saturday, June 4 and the hours are from 7-10:30 p.m. They will have the band “Branded Country” performing for them each Friday and Saturday night. They will also have Keely Adams on Monday nights for the Zumba exercise class. Tuesday nights will be karaoke night. Liz Sandler will teach country line dancing on Thursday nights. The business will be closed on Wednesdays and Sundays. This is a clean alcohol free, no smoking facility and will also have concessions. With summer about here, we need to check and see what’s happening at the library. Our librarian has many programs for the different ages of children in our community. She also has programs for the older readers. If you have any questions call 456-2707.
Then just across the tracks from town, you will find the Sharon Senior Center. The center has many activities for the seniors and almost seniors. Do you enjoy playing cards, games, dominoes, and ping-pong? Why don’t you come out and meet the gang. There are also a few exercise equipment pieces available. Be sure you stop by and pick up the prepared calendar so you know the dates of the activities and of any closings. If you need information about the center, call 456-2213.
Birthdays and anniversaries for this week are: Daniele Suratt will celebrate on May 19, Jon and Janna Bizzle will celebrate their anniversary on May 21. Elaine Cook will celebrate on May 22, Erin Stone will celebrate on May 23, Travis Suratt will celebrate on May 24, and Kayla Lassiter will celebrates on May 25.
