Harold Eugene Pentecost

Harold Eugene Pentecost, 87, of Dresden died May 8, 2011, at the Weakley County Rehab and Nursing Center, Dresden.
Services were held at 1 p.m. Wednesday at Bowlin Funeral Home Chapel, with Brothers Bob Conley and Jim Barnhouse officiating. Burial was in Sunset Cemetery, Dresden.
Terry Jolley, Clint Jolley, Hansel McCadams, Jay McCadams, Sam McCadams, Donald Parham, Ronald Perkins and Donald Perkins served as pallbearers.
Pentecost was born July 29, 1923, in Weakley County, son of the late Jewel Howard and Lillie Mai Bowlin Pentecost. He was a World War II veteran of the United States Air Force, was a farmer and dairyman, was a 50+ year member of Dresden Masonic Lodge and a member of Mack’s Grove Baptist Church, Dresden.
Survivors include his wife, Mrs. Helen Winstead Pentecost of Dresden; two daughters and sons-in-law, Linda and Terry Jolley of Dresden, Teresa and Hansel McCadams of Paris; two sons and one daughter-in-law, Richard and Paulette Pentecost of Omaha, Neb. and Kerry Pentecost of Nashville; and five grandchildren.
He was also preceded in death by one brother, Joe Pentecost.
