20th Century Club meets

The twentieth Century Club of Martin met for its annual luncheon on May 13 at Brandy’s. It was a great day for 15 members present.
Mary Elizabeth Bell had arrived early and decorated the table with red tablecloths, antique white table runners and a beautiful arrangement of roses from her garden.
Before lunch, we had a short business meeting with the treasurer telling of how much our scholarship would be given and the library received as a token of our thanks to our speakers this year. Our scholarship will be given to April May. She is a wonderful choice that our committee made.
The committee was Rebecca Neilsen and Mary Elizabeth Bell. The secretary’s report was given by Violet Harding.
We were thankful to have the following members present: Ramona Allen, Mary Elizabeth Bell, Jeanette Breeden, Glenda Graves, Martha Harding, Violet Harding, Edna Harris, Betty Henderson, Audrey Roberts, Durell Royster, Gail Smith, Pat Wade, Theresa Warmath, Joyce Whiteside and Pam Bates.
After a delicious lunch and much talk of our year, we dismissed until our meeting in September when we will be ready for great speakers and interesting times together.
