Miss Pritchard to wed Johnson on Saturday

The engagement and forthcoming marriage of Nichol Frances Pritchard and Stephen Joseph “Joe” Johnson II are being announced today.
The bride-elect is the daughter of Marsha Brown and Joe Pritchard, both of Union City. Her grandparents are Frances Brown and the late Bob Brown of Hornbeak.
She is a 2000 graduate of Union City High School. She earned a bachelor of science degree in psychology with a minor in music from the University of Tennessee at Martin in 2005 and her master’s degree in clinical psychology from Mississippi State University in 2007. She plans to receive her doctorate in school psychology from the University of Southern Mississippi in 2012. She is a member of Sigma Alpha Iota, Psi Chi — Psychology National Organization and is president of Students in Psychology Organizations for Graduate Students (SPOGS).
She is currently finishing her PhD and plans to intern in Memphis for the 2011-12 year.
The groom-elect is the son of Stephen and Gloria Johnson of Meridan, Miss. His grandparents are the late Russell and Anna Watts and Lodell Johnson of Meridan and the late James P. Johnson.
He is a 2002 graduate of Meridian High School. He earned a bachelor of elementary education with a minor in English from Mississippi State University in 2007 and a master of education degree in reading instruction from the University of Southern Mississippi in 2010.
He serves on the executive board of the Mississippi Alliance for Arts Education. He is a music teacher, arts integration specialist and literacy consultant.
The couple will wed Saturday at 6 p.m. in Tupelo, Miss.
