UCHS tickets provided

Members of the Union City High School Class of 2011 are receiving tickets to dispense to family and friends who wish to attend graduation ceremonies Sunday evening at 8 at War Memorial Stadium on the campus of the school. In the event of inclement weather, the ceremony will be moved into Union City Civic Auditorium and those attending will be asked to present special tickets that have been provided for that location, where seating is more limited. No one will be admitted without a ticket.
Those planning to attend are reminded to arrive and be in their seats before 8, since gates/doors will be closed after that time so graduates can process, a spokesman said.
As has been the custom, those attending are asked to respect the dignity of the occasion by remaining in their seats until the name of their graduate is called, at which time they will be asked to stand quietly in tribute so that all attending may hear the graduates’ honors and future plans. Cheers of celebration for the entire Class of 2011 will be encouraged after all graduates have received this special personal recognition. The request for this respectful attention comes from members of the class, a spokesman said.
