Rotary Club issues scholarships to local students

Michael Wilson and Danielle Lamb have been selected to receive the Dresden Rotary Club scholarships. Five hundred dollars will be awarded to each recipient to attend the college or university of their choice. Michael is the son of Holly and Mike Wilson. He is in the Top Ten of his class and has participated in the Math, Foreign Language and Beta Clubs. He is also active in FFA and won the Tennessee Beta Convention Creative Writing Contest. His community service activities include Dresden First Baptist youth, World Changers and Youth Evangelism Conference. Michael plans to attend the University of Tennessee at Martin and become a pharmacist. Danielle is the daughter of Jackey and Terri Lamb. She is active in the Beta, Math and Foreign Language Clubs and was a cheerleader. She also participated in DECA, FCA and the Student Council. She was selected as the DAR Good Citizen. She is in the Top Ten of her class. Danielle has been very active in her church and has worked on the West Virginia Mission Trip. She plans to attend Union University to become a math teacher. The Dresden Rotary Club annually provided scholarships for Dresden High School seniors.
