Obion and Gibson County Family and Consumer Science agents Benita Giffin (Obion) and Barbara Berry (Gibson) are certified to instruct a six-session program entitled “Living Well With Chronic Conditions.” Staff from Stanford University wrote the curriculum for the program and each free class will last about two hours.
“Living Well With Chronic Conditions” is a fun, skill-building program designed for people with chronic diseases. The program helps individuals take day-to-day responsibility for the care of their chronic conditions. Participants gain skills necessary to self-manage their health conditions and work effectively with their health care professionals.
Classes will be offered May 31, June 8, 15, 22 and 28 and July 6 at 1 p.m. at the Ed Jones Agriplex Auditorium in Trenton. To register, call Mrs. Giffin at 885-3742 or Barbara Berry at (731) 855-7656.
