William Henry “W.H.” Ross, 69, of Union City died May 10, 2011, at Alive Hospice in Madison.
Services will be 2 p.m. Sunday at White-Ranson Funeral Home, with the family receiving friends at the funeral home 6-8 p.m. Saturday. Burial will be in East View Cemetery.
Dr. Melvin Poe will officiate and pallbearers will be J.T. Jones, Michael Jordan, Dale Vinson, Frank Tucker, Jim Kirby, Lonzo King, Larry Eddington and Charles Cavender.
The family requests that memorials be made to the building fund at Calvary Baptist Church in Union City.
He was born Oct. 25, 1941, in Union City, son of the late Sylvester and Mildred (Myers) Ross. He was the widower of Linda (Carter) Ross, who died June 30, 1996. He was a U.S. Army veteran.
Survivors include his daughter, Sonya Adkins of Nashville; two sons, Todd Ross of Hendersonville and Eric Ross of Nashville; nine grandchildren; and his sister, Regina Ellison of Kenton.
He was also preceded in death by his half sister, Mildred Wolverton.
