PUSH FOR ST. JUDE — Every year, the brothers of the Zeta Pi Chapter of Alpha Tau Omega at the University of Tennessee at Martin take a walk from Martin to Memphis raising money for St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital. This year was no different as they made their way down Reelfoot Avenue in Union City Wednesday afternoon. Earlier in the day, members (from left) Boomer Rhodes, Rance Barnes, Cody Chilcutt and Jared Worthington canvassed the city requesting donations for the hospital. They will arrive in Memphis on Friday to present a $100,000 check to St. Jude. Over the years, the local chapter has raised more than $1 million for cancer research. “It’s more than a tradition. It’s our mission and privilege to serve and give back to those children who are sick,” a spokesman said.
