The UT Martin softball team used two hits and bottled the adrenaline of Senior Day en route to a 1-0 victory over Tennessee Tech Sunday afternoon at Bettye Giles Field in Skyhawk Park.
With the victory the Skyhawks finish the regular season with a 32-22 overall record and a 19-10 worksheet
in the Ohio Valley Conference. The Skyhawks will advance to the OVC Tournament at Eastern Illinois University. The Skyhawks earned the No. 3 seed and will meet No. 6 Murray State at 10 a.m. on Thursday.
Freshman pitcher Amanda Brandenburg pitched all seven innings and scattered four hits. She is now 13-3 on the year in the circle.
UTM also split a doubleheader with TTU on Saturday. The UT Martin women won 3-2 in Game 2, but lost 5-4 in the first contest.

Four UT Martin seniors played their final game at Bettye Giles Field this afternoon.
