Mrs. Bonnie Montell Dortch Kirby, 79, of Martin, died May 5, 2011, at the Jackson-Madison County General Hospital, Jackson.
Services were held at 1 p.m. Saturday at Murphy Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Jerry Summers officiating. Burial was in East Side Cemetery.
Chris Wilson, Ryan Wilson, Cameron Kirby, Michael Kirby and Joey Crawley served as pallbearers.
Mrs. Kirby was born July 14, 1931, in Weakley County, daughter of the late Cleatus Alford Dortch and the late Annie Belle Summers Dortch. She was a homemaker and a Baptist.
Survivors include two sons and daughters-in-law, Jimmy Ray and Angela Kirby of Casey, Ky., Marty Dale and Penny Kirby of Martin; two daughters, Cheryl Ann Kirby of Martin and Sheila Crocker of Latham; one brother, Gene Dortch of Dresden; two sisters, Norma Faye Barron and Gloria Camp, both of Martin; and nine grandchildren.
She was also preceded in death by one son, Jerry Lynn Kirby; and one brother, James Thomas Dortch.
