Michael Lorane “Mike” Burrus, 69, of Martin, died April 26, 2011, at his home.
A visitation was held April 29 from 5-8 p.m. at Martin First Baptist Church, with a private family memorial service set for a later date.
White-Ranson Funeral Home of Union City was in charge of arrangements.
He was born March 7, 1942, in Paducah, Ky., son of Gwendolyn Barnett Burrus of Union City and the late Ralph Burrus. He was the husband of Andrelle Warmath Burrus, whom he married July 13, 1969. He was a self-employed carpenter and a U.S. Army veteran.
He is also survived by his daughter, Meredith Burrus of Murfreesboro; his son, Michael Burrus of Chattanooga; his sister, Kathy Barker of Union City; and his brother, Tim Burrus of Camden.
The family requests that memorials be made to Obion County Hometown Walk of Hope or the American Cancer Society.
