Betty Sue (Allen) Pope, 75, of Martin died May 9, 2011, at Martin Health Care.
Services will be 1 p.m. Friday at Murphy Funeral Home in Martin, with burial following there in East Side Cemetery. The Rev. Mark Dowdy will officiate. Pallbearers will be Steven Pope, Matthew Byum, Tyler Bynum, Josh Pope, Rod Sadownes, Keven Bruner, Kevin Barnes and Chris Kerley.
Friends may call at the funeral home 5-8 p.m. Thursday.
She was born May 6, 2011, in Obion County, daughter of the late Hugh and Nora (Doxey) Allen. She was married to Jerry N. Pope, who survives, and was a graduate of South Fulton High School. She had retired from Martin Manufacturing Co. and was a member of McConnell Baptist Church.
She is also survived by two sons, Steve Pope of South Fulton and Stan Pope of Martin; two daughters and sons-in-law, Tenna and Jimmy Bynum of South Fulton and Tamera and Donald Bowlin of Martin; and eight grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.
She was also preceded in death by two brothers, Charles Allen and Bobby Hugh Allen; and two sisters, Velma Allen and Nettie Arant.
