Third Review Club meets Posted: Monday, May 9, 2011 8:01 pm The Third Review Club met recently at Exchange Street Church of Christ. Mary Dunavant, the new president, called the meeting to order. The roll call was answered by members naming the color of the last pair of shoes they bought. The minutes of the last meeting were read and the treasurer’s report was given by Nancy Richards. The club constitution was read and proposals were made to the by-laws. The program was presented by Nita Simpson. A quiz to test recall of powers of observation was given. She shared a review of the new CPR procedures, including Self CPR, which involves taking a large breath followed by measured intense coughing. Each member also received detailed printed information concerning the correct handling and the hazards of proper cleanup and disposal of compact flourescent light bulbs. Mary Lois Owens announced that the spring luncheon will be held at 11 a.m. Friday at the Ethridge House. Each member is asked to prepare a salad dish for the event. The fellowship hall was gaily decorated in an Easter theme. Cake, punch and other colorful treats were served.
