Completed arrangements are being announced for Paula Karen Cissell, 58, of Springfield, Va., formerly of this area, who died May 5, 2011, at her home.
Services will be 11 a.m. Tuesday at White-Ranson Funeral Home, with the Rev. James Kinsey and Larry Hitesman officiating. Burial will follow in Obion County Memorial Gardens.
The family will receive friends from 5-8 this evening at the funeral home.
Pallbearers will be David Worley, Jerry Webster, Cory Hartley, Max Grimes and Jeff Alexander.
The family requests that memorials be made to the American Cancer Society.
She was born June 5, 1952, in Cairo, Ill., daughter of the late Marvin Hurt and the late Dorothy (Pollard) Salyards. She had been an employee of Fairfax County (Va.) Public Schools, where she worked in the human resources department for 10 years. She was a member of Prince of Peace Lutheran Church in Springfield.
She is survived by her son, Matthew Cissell of Arlington, Va.; two brothers and sisters-in-law, Gary and Alicia Hurt of Union City and Bill and Jane Hurt of Carthage, Texas; her sister and brother-in-law, Linda and Jim Noles of Lone Oak, Ky.; and several nieces, nephews, aunts and cousins.
She was also preceded in death by her daughter, Molly Elizabeth Cissell.
