Hickman, Ky., and the lower area are now open to the public, according to the Fulton County (Ky.) Emergency Operations Center (EOC).
As of Friday, only Sutton and Sycamore roads and the levee were restricted to the public.
Emergency personnel said they appreciate sightseers staying away from the levee and floodwall areas. National Guard presence was expected to continue.
Hugh Caldwell, director of Fulton County Emergency Management, said Friday local officials were encouraged by the downward trend of river levels and were monitoring the situation closely.
