William Thomas “Bill” Cook, 75, of Tiptonville died May 7, 2011, at Jackson-Madison County General Hospital.
Services were set for today at Tiptonville First Baptist Church at 2 p.m., with the Rev. Johnny Chessor officiating. Interment will follow in New Haven Cemetery in Ridgely. Dyersburg Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
The family request that memorials be made to Tiptonville First Baptist Church.
He was retired as facilities manager at Northwest Correctional Facility in Tiptonville and was a member of First Baptist Church in Tiptonville, where he was a deacon and had been a Sunday school teacher. He was also a member of Harmony Masonic Lodge.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Pauline Cook.
He is survived by his son and daughter-in-law, Danny and Nanette Cook of Tiptonville; two grandchildren, Drew Cook and Allison Cook, both of Tiptonville; his brother, Jack Cook of Portage, Ind.; and several brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, nieces and nephews.
