Skyhawk linksters
finish in 2nd place

The UT Martin golf team had to settle for second.
The Skyhawk squad finished in second — 18 strokes back of Ohio Valley Conference champion Jacksonville State — in the abbreviated league golf tournament.
Heavy rains and severe weather at GreyStone Golf Club in Dickson forced the event to be called complete after two of its scheduled three rounds on Wednesday.
Jacksonville State totaled a 15-under-par score of 561.
By completing just 36 holes, it marked the first time since 2000 that the event had not gone the scheduled 54-hole distance.
UTM — equaled its highest finish at the OVC golf championship — with its second-place finish and a two-day total of 579. UT Martin’s John Michael Sisinni was a member of the All-Tournament team.
