GOP meet slated Posted: Friday, April 29, 2011 1:10 pm The Messenger, April 29, 2011 The Obion County Republican Party will meet 6:30 p.m. Thursday at Catfish Galley on Marshall Avenue in Union City. Those planning to eat are asked to be present by 6 p.m. to place their food orders. They are also asked to RSVP to Phillip Senn at pcsenn@gmail.com so he can alert the restaurant to the number of potential diners. Tennessee State District 76 Rep. Andy Holt will be the guest speaker. A graduate of the University of Tennessee at Knoxville with a degree in Agricultural Economics and Business, he received his master of business administration degree from the University of Tennessee at Martin. He and his wife, Ellie, and their two small children live on a farm near Dresden. They are active members of Long Heights Baptist Church, where he is a deacon, Sunday school teacher and leader of youth Bible study. Holt is serving his first term as state representative. All who are interested are invited to attend this session, a spokesman said. |
