Earth Day Observed | Earth Day Observance
EARTH DAY OBSERVANCE – More than 50 people celebrated the 2011 Earth Day organized by the University of Tennessee at Martin chapter of the Student Members of the American Chemical Society last Tuesday. There were hamburgers, hot dogs, homemade recipe root beer prepared by using dry ice, ice cream prepared by using liquid nitrogen as coolant, several hands-on experiments for kids and demonstrations, including thermite reaction that has been used for welding, often to join rail tracks.
