Burnah Hubbard Posted: Friday, April 29, 2011 12:57 pm The Messenger, April 29, 2011 Burnah Hubbard, 77, of Union City died April 28, 2011, at the Union City home of Debra Bradshaw, who had been her caregiver. Graveside services will be 2 p.m. Saturday at Obion County Memorial Gardens, with family and friends serving as pallbearers. Darrell Pollock will officiate. There will be no visitation. White-Ranson Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements. She was born Sept. 6, 1933, in Mendon, Mo., daughter of the late Willis Leroy and Bessie (Burris) Zeigler. She married John Seymour Hubbard Feb. 29, 1968. He died March 14, 2009. She had been employed at the former Brown Shoe Co. in Union City for 28 years and was a member of First United Pentecostal Church in Dresden. Survivors include two daughters and her son-in-law, Lt. Col. Karen Hanson of Kabul, Afghanistan, and Lt. Col. Thomas Hanson of Fort Polk, La., and Sandra Kay King of Union City; her son and daughter-in-law, Leland and Celia Hubbard of Watertown; eight grandchildren, Nicholas Cole Shears of Fort Drum, N.Y., Chad Alan Lewis of Bamberg, Germany, John Hubbard, Christian Hubbard, Colin Beasley and Sterling Beasley, all of Watertown, Gina Hodges of Martin and Teresa Duffing of North Carolina; eight great-grandchildren; and two sisters, Jeanette Brown of Macon, Mo., and Bonnie Zeigler of Brookfield, Mo.
