Completed arrangements are being announced for Annie Laurie (Burnette) Covington, 90, of Fulton. She died 1:40 a.m. April 27, 2011, at Lourdes Hospital in Paducah, Ky.
Services will be 11 a.m. Friday at Hornbeak Funeral Home in Fulton, with the Rev. Jeff Keith officiating. Burial will follow in Union Cemetery in Fulton.
Friends may call at the funeral home from 10-11 a.m. Friday.
She was born Nov. 27, 1920, in Fulton, daughter of the late Clyde Naylor and Patty May (Sigmon) Burnette. She was the widow of James Robert “Bob” Covington and was a homemaker and a member of Fulton First Baptist Church. She was a graduate of Murray (Ky.) State University and had lived in this area all her life.
Survivors include two sons and daughters-in-law, Dale Burnette and Jana Covington of Brentwood and Robert Dean and Merry Covington of Batesville, Ark.; her daughter and son-in-law, Mary Pat (Covington) and Wayne Young of Lawrenceburg, Ky.; and five grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
She was also preceded in death by three brothers, Dub Burnette, Naylor Burnette and Cecil Burnette; and her sister, Laverne Hixson.
