Sign-in for the event will begin at 11 a.m.
The tournament is scheduled to begin at 1.
The registration fee to participate is $10 per person. Prize money — determined by the number of entrants — will be awarded to the angler that brings in the biggest fish.

UTM 7-on-7 event
taking registrations

Registration is currently under way for UT Martin’s 7-on-7 Tournament and a Big Man/Skills Elite Training camp on July 16 at Hardy M. Graham Stadium.
The camp is open for players in grades 9-12. All 7-on-7 teams should consist of at least seven players; however it is strongly recommended that each team have at least 10-15 players.
The cost for entering the tournament is $200 per team.
The Big Man/Skills Elite Training camp is an individual camp, but teams are encouraged to bring groups to facilitate group learning. All athletes entering the competition are required to pay $30 per person.

Skyhawk pitcher
honored by OVC

UT Martin freshman Amanda Brandenburg has been named the adidas® Ohio Valley Conference Pitcher of the Week. The announcement was made early Monday afternoon by officials at the OVC.
Brandenburg pitched a two-hitter and tossed a complete-game shutout against Jacksonville State to help the Skyhawks take the OVC series 2-1 this past weekend. The freshman also tossed a complete game Friday against Jax State. She pitched seven innings and gave up three hits and one run as the Skyhawks claimed a 3-1 victory to take the series opener.
Brandenburg picked up her first win of the week when she pitched five innings and picked up an 11-0 victory at Belmont. The win snapped a five-game losing streak for the Skyhawks.
The victory was also Brandenburg’s first complete-game shutout of the week.
She gave up four hits in the victory.
At the plate Brandenburg hit .500 and drove in three runs. She had a double and scored five runs and was 3-for-3 in stolen bases.
Brandenburg (April 11) and UT Martin junior Jenny Bain (Feb. 21) were also named OVC Players of the Week this season.
