Completed arrangements are being announced for Annie Ruth (McDaniel) Kemp, 92, of Union City. She died April 25, 2011, at Golden Living Center in Union City.
Services will be 2 p.m. Wednesday at White-Ranson Funeral Home, with Jeff Bell officiating, assisted by Lonnie Grady. Burial will follow at East View Cemetery.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 10 a.m.-2 p.m. Wednesday.
Pallbearers will be her grandsons, grandsons-in-law and great-grandsons, David Kemp, Patrick Sullivan, Chris Kemp, Randy Kemp, Rick McGinnis, Hunter Cash and Mason Kemp. Honorary pallbearers will be Robert Scott, James Foshee, Barney Hoefer, Guy Hugh Gray, Wesley Jackson and Bill Garrett.
The family requests that memorials be made to Bishop Street Church of Christ.
She was born Dec. 5, 1918, in Obion County, daughter of the late James and Ora Lee (McDaniel) McDaniel. She married Grover Darcy Kemp May 26, 1939. He died July 14, 2001. She had been employed at Whitby’s Flower Shop and at the former Salant & Salant in Union City and was a homemaker. She was a member of Bishop Street Church of Christ.
Survivors include two sons and daughters-in-law, Kenneth and Ann Kemp of Union City and Jamie and Sylvia Kemp of Martin; five grandchildren and their spouses, Randy Kemp of Greenfield, Candie and Rick McGinnis of Knoxville, Debra Cash of Union City and Susan and Patrick Sullivan and David Kemp, all of Bartlett; and five great-grandchildren, Chris Kemp of Paris, Mason Kemp of Greenfield and Hunter Cash, Hailey Cash and Morgan Cash, all of Union City.
She was also preceded in death by three sisters, Iris Evans, Martha Roberts and Reba Owens; and two brothers, James McDaniel and Jerry McDaniel.
