A local man has been charged in connection with last week’s break-in at 3 J’s Food Mart at 1500 East Reelfoot Ave. in Union City.
Harvey Alexander Donlow, 36, of 206 Nash St., Union City, was arrested Wednesday at 1:35 p.m. in the 1700 block of High School Drive and charged with two counts of burglary, two counts of theft under $500 and one count of vandalism, according to a Union City Police Department report released today.
The charges stem from a burglary discovered about 3:30 a.m. Tuesday when someone noticed the store’s front door glass had been broken out and observed a black man who then fled. Police said last week that from viewing the store’s video, it appeared an intruder entered the store after breaking out the glass, jumped over the counter, took packages of cigarettes and left.
