Miss Lonas to wed Kirkland on April 30

The engagement and forthcoming marriage of Shauna Renee Lonas and Arthur Edward Kirkland II, both of Knoxville, are being announced today.
The bride-elect is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Samuel Shane Lonas of Knoxville. Her grandparents are Mr. and Mrs. Earl Boling of Sevierville and the late Rev. and Mrs. Wilson Lonas Sr.
She is a 1997 graduate of South Doyle High School in Knoxville and attended the University of Tennessee, where she was a member of the Pride of the Southland Marching Band Flag Corps. She trained at Tennessee Technology Center in Knoxville and obtained certification in surgical technology and medical assisting. She is employed as a clinical assistant at Premier Surgical Associates at Fort Sanders Regional Medical Center in Knoxville.
The groom-elect is the son of Dr. and Mrs. Ronald Hayden Kirkland of Jackson.
His grandparents are Mrs. James Monroe Glasgow, the late James Monroe Glasgow and the late Sara Frances Cummings Kirkland, all of Union City, and the late Hayden Levi Kirkland of Martin.
He is a 1990 graduate of University School of Jackson and earned a bachelor of science degree in economics from the University of Tennessee at Martin, where he was a member of the cross country team. He is employed as a department manager at Sears in Maryville.
The couple will wed 5 p.m. April 30 at Meridian Baptist Church in Knoxville.
A reception will be held at the historic Bleak House in Knoxville.
