Greenfield added an eighth notch to its belt in girls’ tennis on Thursday.
The Lady Yellowjackets improved to 8-0 on the current campaign with a 6-1 besting of Obion Central.
Top Greenfield girl Emily Allen prevailed 8-2 over Lady Rebel Lindsay Castellaw, while No. 2 seed Taylor Hatcher beat Marissa Howard by a like final score.
In the battle of third seeds, Obion Central’s Kacee Warren squeaked past Kendal Cook 9-8.
At the No. 4 seed, Kaylee Kesterson bettered Shelly Pate 8-3 and fifth-seeded Lady ’Jacket Callie Croom defeated Lady Rebel Taylor Moore 8-3.
In doubles action, Allen and Kesterson teamed to blank Castellaw and Howard 8-0, while Hatcher and Cook combined to rout Warren and Pate 8-1.
The Lady Yellowjacket tennis team hosts Huntingdon at the UT Martin courts on Wednesday at 4.
Westview entertains Obion Central today with a like start time.
