FISH AND TEA
FISH AND TEA — Local fisherman Brent Callicott (front, left) and his father, Lanny Callicott, have donated fishing trips for Main Street-Union City’s annual auction, which will be held Thursday at the Hampton Centré at 6:30 p.m. Brent will take the highest bidder for his outing on a half-day bass fishing trip on Reelfoot Lake, while Lanny will take one person for a full day of crappie and bluegill fishing on Reelfoot. Another item Brent’s daughter, Gracyn, may wish for him to bid on is a tea party for four little girls at Calla Lily. Joining the trio one recent afternoon at Calla Lily was Selle Shanks, co-chairman of the event. In all, there are more than 175 items to bid on through either verbal or silent auctions to benefit the programs of Main Street. There is no charge to attend the event, but participants may pay $5 per person for food throughout the evening. Lindsay Frilling is also serving as a co-chairman. Phyllis Rauchle is Main Street’s executive director. An appreciation reception for Main Street members and prospective members will be held prior to the auction at
