The 2011 Fiddlestick pageant will be held at Greenfield Junior High School Gymnasium at 1 p.m., Saturday. Registration begins at 12 p.m. The pageant is open to all counties.
Categories will include 0-12 months, boys and girls, 1 p.m.; 13-24 months, boys and girls, 1:30 p.m.; 25-35 months, boys and girls 2 p.m.; ages 3-5 years, boys and girls, 2:30 p.m.; Little Miss Fiddlestick, ages 6-9 girls only, 3 p.m.; Pre-Teen Fiddlestick, ages 10-12, girls only, 3:30 p.m.; Junior Miss Fiddlestick, ages 13-15, girls only, 4 p.m., and Miss Fiddlestick, ages 16-21, girls only, 4:30 p.m. Times are estimated depending on pageant participation in each category.
Cost is $20 for beauty only, $30 for all categories (prettiest eyes, prettiest smile, prettiest hair.)
Admission is $5 at the door for everyone. Children three and under are admitted free.
Kings and queens will be eligible for the Strawberry Festival Pageant.
Proceeds from the pageant go to the Greenfield Junior and High School cheerleaders.

McCabe United Methodist Church will hold a Mother’s Day gift sale from 1-4 p.m. Saturday in the fellowship hall of the church.
Included in the sale will be jewelry, handbags, gift sets and more.
This fundraiser will support the youth ministries at McCabe United Methodist Church.

Guest speaker at New Home Baptist
Bro. Kenneth Williams will be the guest speaker at the New Home Missionary Baptist Church, located on the corner of Bell Road and New Home Road, Martin Sunday at the 11 a.m. and 6 p.m. worship services. Everyone is cordially invited to attend.
Cypress Creek Baptist Church, 200 Shadtown Rd., Martin will hold its spring revival Sunday through Wednesday. Bro. Kenneth Springer will be the visiting evangelist. David Hazlewood is the music director.
Services will be at 7 p.m. nightly. Rev. Richard Brewer is church pastor.
AARP to meet
Weakley County Chapter of AARP will meet at 10 a.m., April 20 at the First United Methodist Church in Martin.
Nick Dunagan, former Chancellor of the University of Tennessee at Martin, will be the guest speaker. He just returned from a trip to Jerusalem and will present the program.
The public is invited.

Black Oak School in Hornbeak will hold a Springtime Pageant at 2 p.m. April 23. Cost is beauty, $15 and beauty and photogenic, $20.
Practice will be 5 p.m. April 21. This is also the deadline for photogenic entries.
There will be a photographer available for photographs. A concession stand will be open.
