Hickman gal victors
a stroke under par

The team of Cathy Hall, Betty Moore, Carol Potts and Evelyn Whitten shot one-under par to win the weekly women’s golf outing at the Hickman County Club on Thursday.
The combination of Wanda Brown, Janis Garrigan, Jaque Lethcoe and Linda Moore earned second at one-over par.
Jo Lynn Gibson was the closest to the pin on hole No. 8 at five feet, three inches.
The ladies play every Thursday evening at 5:30. Those interested in playing are encouraged to call (270) 236-9128.
 
Reelfoot Bass Club
says grab a ‘Buddy’

The Reelfoot Lake Bass Club will host a “Buddy Bass Tournament” April 23.
The tournament is set to blast off from Kirby Pocket at 7 a.m.
Entry fee is $80 per team.
The winning team is guaranteed $750, while the second-place tandem will get $500 and third place takes home $300.
There will also be a monetary award for the “Big Bass” of the event.
On-site registartion will begin at 6 a.m.
Weigh-in is scheduled for 3 p.m.

Wynridge winners
have two-shot lead

The team of Rodney Jones, Jerry Todd, Dale Batchelor, Danny Arnold and Vann Kissell combined to shoot a 9-under-par and win the men’s scramble at Wynridge Greens in Troy on Thursday.
Meanwhile, the team of Danny Carpenter, Haskin Ridens, Robert Huffstutter and Matt Russell totaled a 7-under and finished in second.
Wynridge Greens holds its weekly men’s scramble every Thursday.

Union Citian Stone
aces No. 15 at PMCC

Jeff Stone of Union City made some personal history on the golf course Wednesday — recording his first hole in one.
Using a 5-wood, he aced the 168-yard 15th hole at Poplar Meadows Country Club. Witnessing the feat were Ken Courtright, Pete Blanton and Raymond Hendrix.
