Leroy Hall, 92, of Union City died 4:27 a.m. April 9, 2011, at Baptist Memorial Hospital-Union City.
Services will be 3 p.m. Tuesday at Edmaiston-Mosley Funeral Home. The Rev. Eddie Mallonee will officiate and burial will follow in Elm Grove Cemetery near Murray, Ky.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home 5-8 this evening.
The family requests that memorials be made to the Alzheimer’s Foundation of America, 322 Eighth Ave., Seventh Floor, New York, NY 10001; or Second Baptist Church, 831 Everett Blvd., Union City, TN 38261.
He was born Sept. 22, 1918, in Model, son of the late Gus A. and Octie (Garland) Hall. He retired from Ford Motor Co. in Livonia, Mich., after 32 years of service and was a retired farmer. He had also worked with the Civilian Conservation Corp., served in the U.S. Army in World War II and was past president of the Cadiz, Ky., Civitan Club. He was a member of Second Baptist Church in Union City and was also an avid hunter.
He is survived by his wife, Edith (Heck) Hall, whom he married Jan. 25, 1946; two sons and daughters-in-law, Galen and Valerie Hall of Union City and Manfred and Rona Hall of St. Clair Shores, Mich.; five grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.
He was also preceded in death by four sisters and his brother.
