A Union City man has been charged with assault in connection with an alleged incident involving another Union City man Thursday evening.
Kenneth Lee Moore, 26, of 607 North Second St., Union City, was arrested on a charge of aggravated assault shortly after 6 p.m. in the 600 block of East Jackson Street, according to a Union City Police Department report.
Police had responded at 6:14 p.m. to the area of The Messenger, where Max Olive of 512 South Home St., Union City, alleged Moore had exited his truck with a black tire iron and struck him in the back left shoulder. Police reported Olive had bruises and a cut.
Moore was on the scene and was arrested on the assault charge and transported to the Obion County Law Enforcement Complex, police reported.
