Nancy Sue (Stanley) Cranford, 79, of Union City died April 1, 2011, at Obion County Nursing Home.
Graveside services were 1 p.m. Sunday at Stanley’s Chapel Cemetery near Union City, with the Rev. Scott Smyth officiating. Family and friends served as pallbearers and White-Ranson Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
The family requests that memorials be made to Arkansas Children’s Hospital, One Children’s Way, Little Rock, AR 72202-3591.
She was born Feb. 12, 1932, in Weakley County, daughter of the late Herman D. and Beva (Ennis) Stanley. She married Lexie Cranford Aug. 28, 1949. He died Dec. 16, 2003. She was a homemaker and a member of Northwestern Baptist Church near Martin.
She is survived by two daughters and sons-in-law, Laura and Jerry Thomason of Obion and Sue and Dr. Mark Fowler of Union City; three grandchildren and their spouses, Kelli and Mike Hogg, Rachel Fowler and Sara and Russ Brown, all of Union City; her great-grandson, Danan Coleman of Union City; and her sister, Peggy Jimerson of Jackson.
She was also preceded in death by her granddaughter, Rebecca Fowler.
