Wednesday night, March 23, Bro. Pete accompanied, by Glenda on the piano, led us to open our service by singing “Surely Goodness and Mercy,” “The Blood That Stained the Old Rugged Cross,” “Let the Beauty Of Jesus Be Seen” and “Glory To His Name.” Our youth choir sang “I Shall Not Be Moved.” We are so blessed each time they sang for us. Many prayer requests were expressed including our Spring Revival, May 1-4. Bro. Claude Prince will be the evangelist. Bro. Billy prayed over all the requests. Bro. Pete taught from Joshua 5. God takes care of his people. Seek God and keep his commands. Bro. Jacky Alford dismissed us in prayer.
On Sunday morning, March 27, Bro. Pete opened our Sunday school by singing “Blessed Assurance.” Bro. Bobby Doughty asked for prayer requests and also some answered prayers. He read from Romans 5:8, and Bro. Jacky Alford dismissed us to our classes. 1 Peter 4:1-2, 7-19, “Stay the Course” was the titled of the lesson. Bro. Bobby Doughty dismissed in prayer.
The morning worship was opened by singing “Standing On The Promises.” We sang happy birthday to Hunter Terrell. Bro. Billy welcomed everyone. Many people expressed prayer requests, some spoken and some unspoken. Barbara Castleman brought a very inspirational program on being “More Mission Minded.” Afterwards Hunter Doughty and Josh Torres came forward to receive the morning offering. Hunter prayed. Everyone then sang ”Higher Ground” and “Where We’ll Never Grow Old.” Sabrina Staples sang “He Is Mine,” a beautiful composition that she wrote. Bro. Billy’s text was taken from John 7 titled “Knowing The Will Of God is Provisional.” Our hymn of invitation was “Nothing But the Blood.” Bro. Ryan Doughty dismissed us in prayer.
Sunday night, the church assembled to worship the Lord by observing The Lord’s Supper. Each person upon arrival, set in reverent silence. Bro. Billy read from Luke 2:2. Then he, assisted by certain men of the church, led us in observance. We then sang a hymn and went out.
